All Area Parents Invited to Attend District 214's Winter & Spring Parenting Classes

Registration for District 214's winter/spring lecture and discussion series, "What Every Parent Should Know," is open to all interested area parents. The three-part course will be offered twice during the second semester of the current 2011-2012 school year. Session I will take place on three consecutive Tuesdays: Feb. 14, 21, and 28. District 214's Finest Musicians Chosen for All-State Music Festival

Twenty-six District 214 students have been selected among the finest high school musicians in the state to perform in the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) All-State Festival on Jan. 25-28 in Peoria, Ill. The following District 214 students have been chosen as All-State participants: Elk Grove High School—senior Mike Gaglos, Orchestra (String Bass). Elk Grove's Orchestra to Host Concerts, Attend Symphony

The Elk Grove Music Department will be hosting a Solo and Ensemble Festival at the school on Thursday, Jan. 12, from 4-9 p.m. Band and Orchestra students from Rolling Meadows and Elk Grove High Schools will be participating in this event. Students will perform in an ensemble and/or as a soloist for a judge, who will critique their performances and give them feedback. Grade School Girls Invited to Attend Elk Grove's 2012 Winter Poms Clinic

Kindergartners and elementary school-aged girls residing in the Elk Grove High School attendance area are invited to participate in a Poms Clinic with the state-qualifying Elk Grove High School Poms team.
