Elk Grove High School is located in Elk Grove Village Illinois, approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. It is one of six comprehensive high schools that comprise Township High School District 214 along with Buffalo Grove High School, John Hersey High School, Prospect High School, Rolling Meadows High School and Wheeling High School.

Elk Grove High School is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges and the Illinois State Board of Education. In 1996, EGHS was awarded the Presidential Award of Excellence. We are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School and by the U.S. News and World Report as one of 96 outstanding high schools.
