Reading Well

The Reading Well is a resource room designed to provide space and support for students who need help with their reading skills. The Reading Well is located in room 142, right next to the Humanities Center. It is open from 7:30-4:00 every day.

The Reading Well consists of three rooms, each designed for a different purpose. Room one is the silent reading room, where students can go if they need a quiet and comfortable place to read. Here, a variety of books are available for checkout. Room two contains 10 Apple GS computers that are equipped with programs to help students develop their speed (Speed Reader), comprehension (Final Chapter), and/or vocabulary (Word Attack). Room three contains printed material developed to help students improve their comprehension skills. A staff member is usually available to provide assistance to students.
