Theatre Performances

Mrs. Kyle Cartwright attended Western Illinois University and received a B.A. with teaching certification for grades 6 thru 12 in Vocal/Choral Music, Drama and Speech. She has taught for over 25 years at Maine East, South and West and at Wheeling High Schools. She is in her third year teaching at Elk Grove and Rolling Meadows High Schools. As featured soloist, she is the assistant to the director of the Park Ridge Choral. She has done commercial singing and voice over work for television commercials. She also is the vocalist, kazooist, and plucker in the St. Luke's Bottle Band. She has appeared on NBC National News, An American Moment with James Earl Jones, Jenny Jones, Wild Chicago and performed on Late Night with David Letterman. Teaching is her first love and focus of a very successful career.

Mr. Stephen Collella attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, double majoring in both theater and voice. He performed professionally for over 10 years on Broadway, National Tours as well as Regional Theatres. He has been the assistant coach for the Speech Team at EGHS for the past for our years and recently became vocal director for the musical. Additionally, he is an Elk Grove alumnus., He has worked with many of the theater industries finest musicians, composers and artists.
