How
sulfur is used by the body
All living matter contains sulfur and therefore
it is vital for life. In the human body sulfur is obtainable in two sulfur-containing
amino acids, which are methionine and cysteine. The main purpose of sulfur is
to dissolve waste materials form the body. It also gets rid of waste and
poisonous substances from the body. Sulfur from the food is absorbed as an
organic compound and after metabolism, it is changed into sulphate and excreted
in the urine. Sulfur is
very
important for the synthesis of vitamin B.
Sulfur is
usually found in the hair, nails, and skin. Sulfur helps the immune system,
fights the effects of aging, helps in the digestion of fats, controls the
metabolism of carbohydrates, aids the liver in bile secretion, and helps age
related illnesses. It also helps keep the skin clear of blemishes, makes hair
shiny, cleans the blood, and helps protect up against toxic build-up in the
body. Sulfur is a minor elements of fats, body fluids, and skeletal minerals.
