Using this website, find out more about some of the World’s major religions.  Religion is an institution that helps socialize people.  To understand how people are socialized and what they are likely to believe, we must know more about the basic ideas behind each religion.

 

    Many different religions exist throughout the world, but six of the largest and most practiced are Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, and Sikhism.  Regardless of your own religious beliefs, it is good to know about each of these different religions because it helps us understand one another and break down social stereotypes we might have in place.
