District 214's Concert Band Festival to Feature Elk Grove, Prospect, and Rolling Meadows High Schools
The second of two District 214 Concert Band Festivals will take place on Wednesday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. Concert bands from Elk Grove, Prospect, and Rolling Meadows High Schools will perform in the school's Gilbert Theater at Rolling Meadows High School, located at 2901 W. Central Rd. in Rolling Meadows.

Twenty Second Annual Japanese Exchange Program
Elk Grove High School’s Twenty Second Annual Japanese Exchange Program with Ashikodai and Ashitandai High Schools begins with an after school welcome on March 4th. Our Japanese friends visit runs from March 4 – March 19th. Mr. Cliff Darnall, Japanese teacher from EGHS sponsors the Japanese Exchange program. Visiting teachers from Japan are Mr. Masa Saito, Science teacher, Mr. Ted Yokozuka, English teacher.

Three Elk Grove Students to Compete in Statewide Auto Troubleshooting Contest
Eight of Elk Grove High School's Auto Club members took the Skills U.S.A. Automotive Test on Feb. 19. Three of those eight will be representing EGHS for the state troubleshooting contest: sophomore Daniel Ivaska (8th place), senior Brian Jarocki (21st place), and junior Vince Schiavone (40th place). More than 230 Illinois students participated in the extremely competitive test, in order to be among the top 50 qualifiers to compete at the state level in Springfield on April 15-17. All will have a
