This tutorial will help you install 214 Access on your home computer. 1. Obtain the 214 Access software CD from your school's Computer Coordinator, Technology Systems Supervisor, or Librarian. 2. Insert the CD into your computer CD drive. The 214 Access icon will appear on your computer's desktop. 3. Double click on the icon to view the files on the CD. |

4. A new window will open showing the contents of the 214 Access CD. NOTE: Newer versions of the CD may contain updated software versions or additional software other than what is shown in this example. 5a. Click, hold, and drag the 214 Access Client from the CD window to your computer's hard drive. |

5b. To install the files on the hard drive, release the mouse button when the 214 Access Client icon is over the hard drive icon. The hard drive icon will be highlighted (usually a dark highlight - similar to the 214 Access Client icon in step 5a). |

6. The files will be copied from the CD to the computer's hard drive. This process may take a minute or two. 7. Open the hard drive to find the 214 Access Client folder installed on your computer. 8. Double click on the 214 Access Client folder to open it's contents in a new window. |

9. Click once on the 214 Access Client to highlight it. 10. Press and hold the Apple (Command) key while pressing the "M" key on the keyboard. This will create an alias for the 214 Access program. |

11. Clic, hold, and drag the 214 Access alias icon to the computer desktop. You will now be able to open 214 Access from the icon on the desktop. |
