This tutorial will help you register a message to notify you of the status of the message. 1. After creating a new message and before sending it, you may register the message. This will allow you to get a return message when the recipient has received or read the message or if the message was routed outside of the district. |

2. To register the message, click on the Menu pulldown and click Receipt |

3. You will now need to select the type of registration you want Click the link to view that portion of the learning module. |

4a. To register your message with a Receipt on Read, click on the Message pulldown menu and click on Receipt, then Receipt on Read. This will register your message. |

4b. A message will be sent to you when the recipient has read the message. |

4c. The subject line of the message will indicate it is a receipt. The body of the message will also indicate when (date and time) the message was read. Back to registration methods |

5a. To register your message with a Receipt on Delivery, click on the Message pulldown menu and click on Receipt, then Receipt on Delivery. This will register your message. |

5b. A message will be sent to you when your message has been delivered to the recipient's email account. |

6a. To register your message with a Receipt on Route, click on the Message pulldown menu and click on Receipt, then Receipt on Route. This will register your message. NOTE: This method is valuable for message sent to individuals or groups outside of 214 Access users (non-@d214.org users or non-District 214 employees). |

6b. A message will be sent to you when your email has been routed to the recipient's email account. |
