This tutorial will help you to log-in to your 214 Access account from the Internet (World Wide Web).

1. Open the Internet browser (usually Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) on the computer.

NOTE: The computer will need to be connected to the Internet (on-line) before you can check your e-mail.

2. A new window will open for the Internet browser (Internet Explorer 5 will be used in this tutorial).

3. From the browser home page, click on the address bar and highlight the Internet address in the box.

NOTE: To highlight the Internet address bar, click and hold on the left of the box and drag across the box until the entire box appears highlighted (colored).

4. Type in the Internet address for the district email web page. accessweb.d214.org Then click return on the keyboard.

5. This will take the browser to the 214 Access email web page

6. Click on the Login tab to access your district email account.

7. A new window will appear for you to enter your login information.

8. Type in your user ID in the box and than tab to the password field box

9. Type in your email password.

10. Click return on your keyboard to enter your user ID and password

11. It is not recommended to check the Remember Password box.

NOTE: Your username and password will be stored on that computer. Therefore anyone using the computer after you will be able to access your email account.

12. If you have entered your password correctly, your 214 Access email web page will open. If your password was entered incorrectly, you will need to reenter you password by repeating steps 6 thru 11. This may be accomplished by clicking on the Back button of your web browser.
